We don’t know about you, but we were feeling a little bit ‘post-Easter’ over the past weekend. A bit like post-Christmas but perhaps not quite as bad! We are certainly keen to do a bit of healthy eating and exercising more after our triumphant Simnel Cake cooking/eating and all the chocolate Easter eggs!
As you know here at Research Talent Hub, we really like eating seasonally if at all possible, and April brings with it the promise of more exciting (hopefully locally produced!) veggies like asparagus, jersey royal new potatoes, spinach, purple sprouting broccoli and rocket. So this Saturday (I know it’s only Monday!), why don’t you head over to Borough Market for (a healthy!) lunch and to have a browse. See what’s on the stalls and maybe pick up your healthy, natural and wholesome food for the rest of the weekend. Oh, and while you’re there, make sure you pop into the Market Porter for a quick half to really soak up the atmosphere – you still need to have some treats!

We are seeking GROUP ACCOUNT DIRECTOR to join a leading digital insights company in London on a great package of around £90,000! The package includes a base salary of £50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience) and a variable commission of c £30,000 to £35,000. The Group Account Director will take over the leadership of a major UK and European sales team covering the research agency business (details on application). The role will have direct reports (in 2 different countries) hence strong leadership and people management experience is required.
About an ideal Candidate …
Experience gained within market research agency will be a distinct advantage but not essential. However, they’d like you to have a minimum 3 years commercial sales management experience and proven track record of director-level negotiation skills gained within blue chip organisations, advertising networks or professional services firms. Ideally you are able to demonstrate a wide range of sales achievements including transactional sales experience (typically short sales cycles) such as direct marketing, media, advertising or market research. You are a consultative senior Account Manager and Business Developer and have gained your commercial experience in professional marketing services context. Alternatively, you are able to demonstrate your achievements in managing long sales cycles for complex projects such as software or operational implementations. You’ve got strong team development and management skills having managed teams with more than 3 direct reports in the previous roles. You’ve got good analytical abilities and can comfortably produce internal and external reports for strategic decision-making. You are a confident communicator and presenter who doesn’t shy away from taking a central stage at public speaking events. Proficiency in advanced applications of CRM tools such as Salesforce will be desirable.
